Our founders
DA Group was founded by Anil Agarwal, a pioneer in India's raw cotton trading industry. His guiding principle "Be excellent at what you do, and when you've achieved that, give back to society and pass on the torch," shapes his approach towards business and life. Under his leadership, the flagship firm Durgesh Impex Pvt. Ltd. evolved into one of the most advanced integrated textile units in the country.
A dynamic entrepreneur from India, Durgesh Agarwal carried the family business forward while maintaining strong family values and the commitment to ethical business practices. His dedication towards excellence has driven him since the very beginning of his career, reflecting through his approach of “zero tolerance” towards any compromise in quality.
An educationist, philanthropist and social entrepreneur, Usha Agarwal has dedicated her life to creating sustainable change at the grassroots level. Guided by the principle "भिक्षा नहीं शिक्षा" (Support education, not begging), she founded Shree Shakti Seva Kendra with a vision to empower underserved communities through education, women's development, and livelihood opportunities.
Recognising the need for safe, engaging, and educational play experiences for children in Ahmedabad, Kanica Agarwal founded Toy Joy Tales. Inspired by her own journey as a mother of two, she envisioned a space where children could play, learn, and grow through mindful exploration. Under her leadership, Toy Joy Tales has evolved into a thoughtfully curated destination that nurtures creativity, curiosity, and holistic early childhood development.
Our Progress
Hanuman Prasad Agarwal founded the cotton business under the Eastern Group in Bengal, which expanded to Rajasthan, Punjab and Tamil Nadu over the next 40 years.

The business was relocated to Gujarat by Anil Agarwal, continuing the trading of raw cotton.
With plans in place for expansion to other endeavours, the business strengthened its position in Gujarat.
1982
1989
The cotton business flourished under the leadership of Anil Agarwal, establishing a nationwide trading network.
A fully automated ginning mill spanning approximately five acres was set up in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
1990
1997
Another ginning plant was inaugurated in Himmatnagar, Gujarat.
With a focus on modernisation, Durgesh Agarwal entered the family business, rebranding the group as Durgesh Impex.

The real estate business was streamlined by Durgesh Agarwal, with a freshly structured approach and a long-term vision.
A cotton manufacturing unit was established in Jalgaon, Maharashtra. Inspired by Usha Agarwal's vision, the family business also expanded into pre-primary education by establishing Ahmedabad's Holistic Childcare Centre.

Numerous key real estate projects were completed.
Marking our entry into the events and entertainment sector, Shree Shakti Convention Centre (SSCC) was launched, creating a landmark destination for large-scale conventions, celebrations and corporate gatherings.

With a focus on strengthening infrastructure capabilities, Shree Shakti Integrated Logistic Park was launched, expanding the group's footprint in logistics and industrial development.
The hospitality vertical expanded with the launch of TJT City Centre, further strengthening the brand's presence and reach.

Reinforcing our commitment to social impact and excellence, we partnered with KVIC under the Nari Sashaktikaran initiative, while students from Bagpiper (Band Master) secured first place at a prestigious event held at the Statue of Unity.
Driven by a vision to nurture future-ready learners, Shree Shakti School of Innovation (SSSI) was launched and received CBSE affiliation, while the school also organized the Fit India Hit India Run and TJT expanded its presence with a new outlet at the Domestic Airport.
