Founded in 1938, by Hanuman Prasad Agarwal, DA Group has grown from being a cotton manufacturer to one of the largest and most respected 3rd generation business groups. Over a span of last 8 decades, we have diversified into emerging business areas in the fast expanding Indian economy. The group has growing interests in areas such as Textile, Infrastructure, Child Care Initiative, and various empowering CSR activities. We strongly believe that the DA Group has a pivotal role to play in encouraging the youth of our great nation and to help them make their lives better.

Founders

Mr. Anil Agarwal

Opening doors to a much brighter tomorrow Mr. Anil Agarwal believes strongly in “Being excellent at what you do, but when you’re done achieving that, give back to the society and pass on the torch.”

As one of the pioneers in raw cotton trading in India, Mr. Anil Agarwal is the founder of the DA group - the most respected third-generation business groups with ventures in industries like Textile, Infrastructure, Education, and various philanthropic initiatives. With its manufacturing set up in Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Punjab, his flagship firm Durgesh Impex Pvt Ltd is a cotton ginning company that evolved from being just a trading company to one of the most advanced integrated textile unit.

Mr. Anil Agarwal is also an active contributor to various social and community organizations like Agarwal Samaj, Rati Sati Trust, Gayatri Pariwar and Lions Club while also being actively involved trade organizations like Gujarat Chamber of Commerce (GCCI) and International Cotton Association (ICA).

Actively involved and evolving in the industry, Mr. Agarwal along with his wife Mrs. Usha Agarwal have founded Shree Shakti Seva Kendra - an initiative with a strong belief in providing every child with the best and bright education that he deserves. By adopting nearly 200 kids near Ambaji, Mr. and Mrs. Agarwal have created a pathway to transform these children into responsible individuals for the developing nation. Maarg, an initiative of Shree Shakti Seva Kendra is a voluntary, humanitarian organization that aims to care and support the less fortunate by focusing on education, healthcare and women empowerment.

The strong family ethics and values have been driven and will continue as Mr. Anil Aggarwal has passed on a robust business model which is being continued, expanded and enhanced upon by his son, Mr. Durgesh Agarwal.

As a multi-disciplinary Entrepreneur today, he has transitioned from a marketing leader to an entrepreneur while working within cross-functional teams and developing the Industrial Presence under Textile, Real Estate, Education and Philanthropy.

From innovation in fibre, to sustainability, the venture DURGESH IMPEX PRIVATE LIMITED is powering high quality cotton, cottonseed, cotton seed-cake, cotton crude oil and is one of the biggest and most modern composite unit in Maharashtra and Gujarat. Adding strength to our global supply chain, the ginning company has evolved from a trading company to one of the most integrated textile unit creating a future of immense possibilities, under the able guidance of his father, Mr. Anil Agarwal.

Aiming towards providing better and smarter lifestyle in the form of better home or work spaces DURGESH INFRASTRUCTURE PVT. LTD. is a step towards an emerging and developing enterprise in the field of real estate. With projects like Shree Shakti Convention Centre (which is India’s largest private convention centre), Shiv Shakti Yog Kendra (an upcoming wellness centre with a fusion of western and traditional options), The Courtyard (27 luxurious high end villas, with the most modern club house this city has witnessed), Ambica Upvan (nature at its best, a second home concept), Ambica House (office spaces and more) the focus of DA Group has always been on Service, Quality, Satisfaction and provision of high end living and style.

Having served on various boards and being the president of Entrepreneur’s Organization(EO) Gujarat chapter for the year 2019-2020, Mr. Durgesh has contributed towards world’s most influential community of entrepreneurs to create one-of-a kind experience through learning, sharing and growing together.

As an Entrepreneur and a member on the advisory committee, of several top end Universities, he has embraced several moments and has had a chance to addressed the youngsters through various youth programs like youth parliament 18-19 and 19-20 and first edition of Ahmedabad design week 2020. Being the board member of Gujarat Chamber of Commerce Youth Wing (GCCI) for two consecutive years 2016-2018, he firmly believes that it is important to nurture our youth to strike the right balance between the attributes of growth and empathy.

Through DURGESH CHILD CARE INITIATIVE, which constitutes Little Wings and Toy Joy Tales, the Group intends to provide and support an environment where children are safe, nurtured and respected, thereby curating be-spoke programs and activities which foster the well-being, all round development and holistic growth of the young ones in a scientific yet traditional manner.

Working towards educational equality and women empowerment are the group’s voluntary philanthropic initiative works, which are getting more steam under the dynamic leadership of Mr. Durgesh Agarwal.
